The 66th Heads of Medicines Agencies Meeting 4-5 July, Warsaw

On the 4-5 July in Warsaw, the 66th Heads of Medicines Agencies of European Union and European Economic Area meeting took place.

This session inaugurated all meetings, of Polish Presidency as well as of our Trio Presidency, organized by The Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products.

Two-day session, of nearly hundred representatives, was focused on issues which have influence on health care improvement as far as human and veterinary medicinal products are concerned. Worthy of attention is the issue presented by the Presidency,The Linkage between Medicinal Products Registration and Health Technology Assessment.   

The unique substantive character of this meeting was confirmed by the active participation of Paola Testori Coggi -Director General of the Directorate-General for Health and Consumers of the European Commission and Adam Fronczak – Undersecretary of State, Chairman of Ministerial Workgroup on the coordination of preparatory issues regarding implementation by Ministry of Health tasks resulting from taking over the Presidency of the Council of the EU by the Republic of Poland in the second semester of 2011, The Ministry of Health.   

The subsequent meeting will take place on the 3-4 November in Gdańsk.
